Hemingway House
Ernest Hemingway was an American novelist Journalist and shot story writer. Hemingway maintained permanent residences in Key West in 1930's and Cuba in 1940 and 1950.The Hemingway House is located in San Francisco de la Paula 9 miles from Havana. The Bacardi Building
Located in old Havana it was completed in 1930. After the revolution and the departure of Bacardi from Cuba, it was used as offices. In the 1990's it was renovated by the city's Historical office and today is one of Havana's principals landmark. The buildings art deco is one not to miss a 3 dimensional figure of the Bacardi bat. Roses, pineapples and other tropical fruits...Make sure to try Some Havana Club... Bacardi also produces competing products with the same name in Puerto Rico sold only in the United States the two companies have engaged in ongoing litigation about ownership of the brand.
Partagas one of the oldest Cuban Cigar Factory in havana, established in 1845. Before and after the Cuban Revolution the authentic Cuban-produced Partagas, were on of the best selling cigars in the world. By the middle of the 1990's it remained the second leading selling brand of tobacco followed by Montecristo with 10 million in annual sales. Now the Partagas cigar factory in Havana has been renamed to Francisco Perez German. The Malecon is Officially Called the Avenida de Maceo a 5 mile esplanade, roadway and seawall, it spans from the mouth of the havana harbor down through central Havana ending in the Vedado neighborhood. Construction began in 1901 during temporary U.S military rule this wall or boardwalk was used to protect Havana from the water. The Cuban government extended the first section in 1923 it reached the mouth of the Almendares River in Vedado. This is truly a place to stroll with your lover or friends as you watch the sun set on El Morro, the castle named after the 3 biblical magi. This is a fortress guarding the entrance to Havana bay in Cuba . Morro means rock which is visible from the sea which serves as a navigational landmark.
